WELCOME

Frimley & Wexham Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership is a group of volunteer service user representative. Made up of midwives, doctors and commissioners. We work together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity services.

Service user representatives are people who have recently used the local maternity services, or people involved in providing services for pregnant and new parents, such as antenatal teachers or breastfeeding supporters. They are a crucial part of the team – the MVP couldn’t function without these volunteers.

What we do

The MNVP is a voice for those who use local maternity services. We collect feedback from women and their families from across the Frimley Trust area.  This includes areas such as North Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire this is regardless of where they have had their baby, on the care they received during pregnancy, labour and in the first couple of weeks after their baby is born. We share this anonymously with the staff at the hospitals and with the LMS (who fund the services), to see where improvements and changes can be made, and where things are working well. All feedback that we receive is valuable.

Welcome to Frimley Park Hospital Maternity, this is a short video to introduce you to the maternity department and its facilities.

Please note this was filmed pre-COVID in the summer of 2019.  Therefore no PPE is shown however you should expect this on all staff members during the pandemic.
Importantly some clinics have had to relocate with the hospital.  Please check on arrival.

Sharing your feedback with us

When we collect feedback, we are interested in all of a woman’s maternity care – from the booking in appointment with a midwife to the handover to the health visiting team at around day 10 after birth. Whether it be feedback on care within the hospital or feedback on breastfeeding support available to you after you’re home or any other aspect of your care, we want to hear from you.

We ask women to tell us the following:

  • what was good about your experience of maternity care?
  • what, if anything, wasn’t good?
  • what ideas do you have for improvement?
